WHO WE ARE
Since 2017, Magnolia Vietnamese Students Association (MVSA) strives to promote the awareness, interests, and appreciation within both the students body at Magnolia High School and the local community about the Vietnamese American culture. VSA welcomes individuals from all cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds; it creates opportunities for everyone to learn the cultural, social, and educational events that exemplify the beauty of Vietnam as well as educate on the diversity and social injustice to promote the cultural awareness. We are also a member school under the Vietnamese American High School Alliance (VAHSA), which consists of many VSAs and similar groups across Los Angeles and Orange County.

WHAT WE DO
Join us and be our bo-bae
Do you love boba? Do you love phở? Do you love bún bò? Vietnamese cuisine is among world's most favorites of globetrotting foodies. Join us and you will be able to try those food at least once at our general meeting and social events. Besides food, we also showcase a variety of Vietnamese traditional folk games, outfits, events, dances, and many more fascinating things you probably haven't known yet about. Some of our most exciting events of the year are our annual International Show, where a lot of cultures including Indian, Japanese, Korean, Native American, etc., along with Vietnamese come together and put up a series of performances (after months of practice!) for you to enjoy. Some other interesting events include Tet Parade, Tet Around the Corner (you will be able to watch our Lion Dance Team at this event), Halloween Pumpkin Carving Contest, Servathon, and Vietnamese Culture Night (coming soon). Along with educating our friends and local community the awareness and appreciation toward diversity, we also love to give back and help people in need. Every year, we donate up to $80+ for the Vietnamese orphans, serve 100+ community service hours, and send 50+ appreciation letters to our teachers and staffs.
